The Advanced Leadership Foundation, in partnership with MediaHub and the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, made Randi Zuckerberg’s visit to Argentina possible.

Her stay focused on a talk at Usina del Arte about the future of social networks, where topics such as web 3.0, the Metaverse, NFTs, influencers and innovation were addressed. The meeting was attended by more than 1,500 people related to the world of technology and communication, and was covered by nearly 75 media outlets from all over the country.

After the talk, Randi received the Diploma of Guest of Honor of the City of Buenos Aires, from the Head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.

The Advanced Leadership Foundation, in alliance with Colombia’s Antioquia Government, invited national and international speakers to discuss a path towards sustainable governance, and development of responsible mining in Colombia. Participants had the opportunity to analyze the challenges, to explore opportunities and analyze positive experiences from all over the world. A wide variety of speakers gathered, from Mining Ministers, to private sector leaders such as José Ignacio Noguera, President of Gran Colombia Gold; Remi Piet – Ph.D Co-Founder & Senior Partner at Embellie Advisory; Marianick Tremblay and Erika Thompson, both Canadian and Australian Ambassadors in Colombia; and Ignacio Zapico Alonso – Assistant Professor PhD , in Geomorphology and Geomorphological Restoration, Madrid Complutense University, among the many.

Global speakers gathering to find solutions to the challenges tourism faces worldwide in the aftermath of the pandemic, developing collaborative systems to turn this crisis into an opportunity for shared progress and contributing to global economic recovery. The Summit speakers included Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary-General, UNWTO, Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General, UNCTAD, Tony Wheeler, Lonely Planet Co-founder, as well as over 125 internationally recognized experts.

The Advanced Leadership Foundation, a leading sustainable development player, collaborated with Red Eléctrica Group in the Sustainability Conference 2021 to consolidate the positioning of the company by providing a forum for discussion and reflection from a shared vision with stakeholders, focusing on sustainable processes on the road towards the recovery and reactivation in the post-COVID era.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken our world. Citizens around the world are demanding from politicians and governments exacting solutions across a wide range of issues from ethics and transparency to the climate crisis, to the impacts of automation and artificial intelligence on the future of work to the need to combat “fake news.” The Future of Politics Summit was the first and a unique Forum bringing together political, business, and social leaders from around the world to address these and other cutting-edge issues head on. Speakers included Ségolène Royal – President of COP21, former Minister of Environment, Energy and Sea; Danilo Türk, former President of Slovenia; and Alexandra Cousteau – President & Co-founder. Oceans 2050.

This was the highest gathering of committed Hispanic climate action leaders and media, united to highlight the leadership of Latin America on climate change and to increase global pressure on the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Official COP25 Madrid event. With the participation of renowned experts including Federico Gutierrez, former Mayor of Medellin, Colombia, Monica Araya, Costa Rica Limpia Founder, and Enrique Riquelme, COX Energy Founder, among others.

ALF organized the first Creative Economy Summit in Medellin, Colombia in September 2019, as an opportunity to engage in discourse on the importance of culture and creativity for the development, social transformation and impact of new digital technologies in all aspects of our lives and that have generated economic disruption worldwide.

The summit was attended by over 1,800 people including 340 selected leaders (out of more than 2,000 applicants) who took part in our leadership training program. Over 40 speakers took part in this event including: President of Colombia, Iván Duque; Mayor of Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez; as well as world experts in the ranging from fashion, technology, music, culture, entertainment , tourism, among others.

In 2018 ALF organized, in collaboration with Taylor’s Wine, the Climate Change Leadership Summit in Porto, Portugal. This summit was centered around how climate change affects every single sector of our societies and has a direct impact on the future of all areas of the economy including an economy’s production models. The agricultural sector is no exception and the effects of climate change are rapidly affecting it in a number of ways, including changes in average temperatures, rainfall, and climate extremes. This summit offered practical and proven solutions, short and long term, to help the agricultural sector to mitigate the impacts of a changing climate while adapting to help solve our shared problems.

Summit speakers included Nobel Laureates President Barack Obama and Professor Mohan Munasinghe, as well as  Irina Bokova, former Director-General of UNESCO and Juan Verde, President of the Advanced Leadership Foundation. Over 2,000 people attended this event.

In July 2018 ALF held the first Summit of Circular Economy and Technological Innovation in Madrid. The Advanced Leadership Foundation teamed up again with President Obama, as well as with other Heads of State such as Iván Duque, President of Colombia, Pedro Sánchez, President of Spain, and Rosalía Arteaga, President of Ecuador.  Nobel Laureates Christopher Pissarides (2010 Nobel Prize in Economics), Finn Kydland (Nobel Prize in Economics 2004), and Barry Barish (Nobel Prize in Physics, 2017). Other guests included Ndaba Mandela (President of Africa Rising),  Dasho Karma Ura (Minister of Happiness of the Kingdom of Bhutan), among many others. 

The summit was attended by over 4,700 people including 400 selected leaders (out of more than 4,500 applicants) who took part in our leadership training program.

Speakers debated issues related to social, technological, environmental, educational development, and possible strategies to improve the environmental process of each of these themes within the socio-cultural and economic arenas.

Given the success of the Green Economy Summit, ALF organized the second edition during October 2017 with an audience of over 2,200 people from every province in Argentina as well as 300 selected leaders. The summit’s key message was: economic competitiveness should be based on investments in a greener economy.

Speakers that addressed the audience and trained the leaders included three  Nobel Laureates, President  Barack Obama (2009 Nobel Peace Prize), Eric Maskin (2007 Nobel Prize in Economics) and Edmund Phelps (2006 Nobel Prize in Economics); as well as world renowned experts.  

Topics included new technologies available to promote a greener economy, the insurance industry, the role governments play in this transition, the threat of climate change, and the transition to a more productive economic and industrial model that will make green economies both economically and socially sustainable. Obama inspired participants to mobilize and become active in their communities in order to make the difference they envisioned.

“Green Economy Summit”: an event whose main objective was to generate awareness on the correlation between economic growth and environmental sustainability. The event took place in December 2016 in Cordoba, Argentina, with the participation of 1,200 people including public officials, media and social influencers as well as 300 selected leaders (out of more than 2.000 applicants)  from all over the country. 

Speakers addressing the audience and training the leaders included: four Nobel Laureates (Ada Yonath, Kurt Wurthrich, Mario Molina and Shirin Ebadi) along with several international figures from the environmental sector such as Ken Salazar, former U.S. Secretary of the Interior; Robert Kennedy Jr., selected as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Heroes of Planet; Alexandra Coustau, filmmaker and environmental activist; among others.  Argentina’s president, Mauricio Macri, addressed the participants, commending them on their ongoing commitment to green initiatives in Argentina and abroad.
